Senate Votes 73-23 To Decimate Obama’s Most Influential Legacy, Barack In Big Trouble

Here’s another legacy Obama can kiss goodbye.

Former President Barack Obama exited office a little more than a year ago with a rather large grin on his face.

Fast forward to today, and there’s a good possibility that smile has been turned upside down.

Slowly but surely, President Donald Trump and the GOP-led Congress are chipping away at the damage that Obama has left behind. Some of those efforts have led to immediate dividends, while others will be the equivalent of a gift that keeps on giving for years to come.

This particular vote by the Senate should be a wake-up call to Barack. Even some of his own Democratic lawmakers have seen the light and realize that Obama’s most influential legacy has to end, and now.

Washington Times has the details:

The U.S. Senate confirmed another one of President Trump’s federal appeals court judges on Tuesday, advancing the president’s pledge to place dozens of conservative loyalists on the federal bench.

Judge Elizabeth L. Branch was confirmed by a 73 to 23 to sit on the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Judge Branch has served on the Georgia Court of Appeals since 2012.

Trump has been in office for just a little over a year, but Branch is already the 14th circuit court judge that has been confirmed over that time frame.

It doesn’t appear that the floodgates will be closed up anytime soon either.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Kentucky Republican, is also preparing to bring four federal district court judges to the floor for confirmation votes over the next several days. Those nominations include: Marvin Quattlebaum Jr. for the District of South Carolina, Karen Scholer for the Northern District of Texas, Tilman Eugene Self III for the Middle District of Georgia and Terry Doughty for the Western District of Louisiana.

Additional judges on the bench that prioritize the actual rule of law over the liberal agenda is a huge win for everyone – except Obama and his cronies, that is. In short, no more legislate-from-the-bench judges will be infiltrating our judicial branch and undermining the rule of law ever again!

Of course, the fact that Obama may be feeling a little down that his legacy is in tatters is just icing on the cake.

What really matters is that there will be a lot more sanity emanating from judicial benches as opposed to completely haphazard politicizing based on the whims of those that swing the gavel. And this is a huge win for Americans and our democratic republic.
