WATCH: Jen Psaki Says ‘Kids Should Still Wear Masks’

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki weighed in Tuesday on the national debate surrounding mask mandates; saying children should still cover their faces when in public.

“We’re operating on the honor system in many places. What do you say to people who say it’s worrisome to be operating on the honor system?” asked one reporter.

“This guidance provides information to the public on what they can do to be safe. Wear a mask if you’re not vaccinated. That applies to kids,” said Psaki.

“It isn’t always easy. If you are vaccinated, you no longer need to wear a mask. The guidance is pretty clear. It gives people the information and the power to be able to protect themselves,” she added. “Kids should still wear masks.”
