NYPD Police HUMILIATE Mayor Bill de Blasio At Funeral By Turning Their Backs To Him

Violent clashes have continued to take place across America as cops and protesters battle since before the presidential election.

Riot cops use pepper spray and stun grenades to break up crowds as fights broke out, windows were smashed and fires lit in the streets as Americans protested against the inauguration of President Donald Trump.

As the violence continues to grow and police officers are constantly put in mass amounts of danger, a group of NYPD officers are not supporting the NY Mayor as he speaks at Officer Miosotis funeral.

And the reason for their actions are moving mountains!

A group of NYPD officers turned their backs on New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio during his address at the funeral of late Officer Miosotis Familia on Tuesday.

Familia was shot in the head last Wednesday by an anti-cop protester while sitting in her squad car on duty. The mayor has been criticized for not properly honoring her death.

“Mr. Mayor, you didn’t have to travel to Germany for a protest — all you had to do is speak in front of the men and women of the NYPD,” Sergeants Benevolent Association President Ed Mullins said, according to the New York Post.

De Blasio had skipped a Saturday night vigil in memory of Familia to participate in G-20 Summit protests in Germany.

Officers and about 25,000 attendees lined the streets for the funeral. Austin Finan, a de Blasio spokesman, said protests at de Blasio’s address were being blown out of proportion.

“A couple dozen people showed up to partake in a bogus controversy ginned up by the media and those looking to politicize Detective Familia’s death. That’s unfortunate,” he wrote in an email to the New York Post.

But this has not been the first time cops have turned their backs on de Blasio. Dozens of NYPD officers turned their backs on his speech after the deaths of Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos, two cops who were fatally shot unprovoked on a Saturday afternoon.

“We’ve watched with horror these attacks on our police here in New York City and all around our country. It sickens us, and we know they cannot be tolerated, and we know they must end,” de Blasio said to the officers, according to ABC News.

Police Commissioner James O’Neill was more forceful in his address.

“Where are the demonstrations for the single mom who cared for her elderly mother and three children?” he asked, according to ABC News. “There is anger and sorrow, but why is there no outrage?”
